Description

Whether or not you agree with this really depends on what films/shows you like or hate. If you agree with the general consensus, there really isn't a point in visiting the site. However, if you happen to enjoy a film that really isn't that good, well, let's just say you'll get your asshole torn like tissue paper. Just about any type of person could be seen frequenting the IMDB boards (nostalgiatards, edge lords, you name it). You could find sixty year old men complaining about the newer versions of the Twilight Zone, pedophilies wishing for Tails from the Sonic series to be voiced by a boy and just about anyone who has a raging hateboner for the live action Scooby Doo movies (with some occasional Nostalgia Critic and Mr. Enter parrots to boot.) Whatever stance you have on certain shows and movies, you're bound to find one kind of subclass that makes you want to get the hell out of there.

TV.com is guilty of this too to some degree, but it kinda makes up for it by having a like/dislike system in the comments, so if you don't feel like debating with someone who finds your gears or if you don't want to risk feeding a troll, just leave a dislike and call it a day.

(it's so bad, 03bgood frequents both.)

People like to dog on the communities of Encyclopedia Dramatica and the Kiwi Farms, but at least they're more organized and reasonable than anyone at IMDB.

(lastly, when it comes to their ratings, I'd take them with a grain of salt (same as Rotten Tomatoes) since they're usually user-influenced, and any group of idiots'd downrate or overrate any show at the command of someone with too much time on their hands)

Still better than Rotten Tomatoes.
